I’m wanting to share with you my experience in lending with Benchmark. Over a year ago I found a Facebook ad, clicked it, filled out my personal information and after doing so I was connected with Mike Perkins. Mike has truly changed my life forever, he began this process with me when my credit score was approx 520. He sent me tons of emails regarding steps I should take to increase my score. I’m not talking just any list of general steps. I’m talking intricate details based on my credit report, how much I should pay, what order I should pay them in and what was a priority at the moment, versus what was not. With my score being so low for so long and as I spoke with others attempting to help me fix the mess I created, each of them got frustrated just looking at it and gave up on me, but not MIKE! He persisted, he checked on me every so often, he encouraged me, he was so very patient with me and for that I’m forever grateful. My sis is a business women and she was a little reluctant on me choosing someone to handle my lending needs from a Facebook ad, but I assured her that I had all trust in Mike and that I knew by his emails that this was a personal mission to get me approved on his part. He would send step by step paragraphs and instructions on how I should go about successfully achieving the scores I needed to become a home owner. His detailed explanations afforded me the opportunity to trust him the more. Originally the plan was to set forth with a large home building company that establishes new neighborhoods in my area -where Mikes information was advertised on FB, but I later decided to do a new construction and there was absolutely no way I was doing it without my Mike! I told the sales agent that I was taking Mike with me to build a custom home and had decided not to purchase with his company, he understood and also agreed that Mike was pretty amazing as well. He truly has made this experience remarkable and one to remember. My credit karma now reads really close to 700 because of Mike and I’m now a homeowner!! He never gave up on me, he never got frustrated with my many questions, he was so very patient with me and I can honestly say that it’s through his hard work that I was able to achieve this goal. I’m a single, African American female with one son and because of Mike and of course the good Lord, I have shattered a glass ceiling! I’m forever grateful for him and I can only hope that he receives the recognition he so deserves for doing an impeccable job with his clients.
